Danielle (Dani) Forrest I Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner I NDIS PBSP Approved Supervisor | Social Worker
Danielle began her career in the human services field as a Youth Worker in the community sector and Child Safety. Motivated by her passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and families, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Social Work and transitioned directly into the disability sector.
For over 14 years, Danielle has worked as both a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner, supporting people with disability across a wide range of ages and needs. She first worked with adults transitioning from institutional settings, and for the past 8 years with Therapy Pro, she has worked across the lifespan (ages 8 and up). Her caseload has focused primarily on teenagers and adults, often with complex presentations such as autism (ASD), ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), pathological demand avoidance (PDA), psychosocial disability, trauma, child protection involvement, substance misuse, and neurological disabilities.
In addition to her clinical practice, Danielle has provided professional supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners across NSW, VIC, QLD, and WA since 2021. She has also managed both the Behaviour Support and Social Work teams, mentoring practitioners from early career through to senior levels.
Danielle is passionate about ensuring that health needs are prioritised before applying a behavioural lens. She enjoys thinking creatively about adapting environments—whether at school, home, in the community, or at work—to support individuals in meaningful ways. She is also a strong advocate for fairness and equity, not afraid to “put on her Social Worker hat” to challenge systems that don’t serve people well.
Danielle brings warmth, creativity, and a strong client-centred focus to her work, always striving to help individuals and families achieve positive, lasting outcomes.
